"Geek Inside" by Think Geek

(at left - the "Geek Inside" Maternity Shirt from Think Geek.)

I was browsing the wonderful line of geeky shirts at thinkgeek.com the other day and I came across this one - the "Geek Inside - Maternity Shirt". Too cute. I will totally have to get one of these when the time arises.

The thinkgeek.com description reads:

Is your body the staging area for a future geek? Or do you know a gestating female mammal who's growing her own? Celebrate the miracle of birth with our Geek Inside shirt, logo emblazoned in white on future mom's belly. There'll be no question of what sort of toys to buy the little tyke with this guidance. Break out the USB-powered crib mobile, the Hoberman blocks, and the caffeine-laced pacifier.

Awesome. Get the shirt at thinkgeek.com.

(if you cannot view the image please refresh or click the link)

"Virginity is for Losers" from the fine folks at Busted Tees. The description from their site reads:

"Save this shirt for marriage"

Well said. Also, FYI, Busted Tees releases new shirt designs each week which are available at a reduced price
during the first week on sale. In the future, I plan to try and feature one of the new BT designs a week. I really like their stuff.

Went to Ireland for the Beer, Stayed for the Craic

(featured at left is the Ireland - Beer/Craic design on the green Men's Lightweight Ringer-T
from the
Insan Art Store @ Spreadshirt)

Design from Insan Art at www.insanart.com.

It's no secret that the Irish love their craic. Pronounced "crack" (and frequently parodied in the context of the drug, crack), in it's simplest form, it means "fun". From my understanding, craic isn't just any fun, but usually includes your best buddies and a high incidence of alcohol involvement (pints of Guinness and some Tullamore Dew are recommended).

Wi-Fi Detecting Shirt from Think Geek

Happy Saturday Everyone! We're looking at the Wi-Fi Detector Shirt from the lovely folks at Think Geek. Those of you who pay attention to the geeky gadget blogs have probably already seen this, but it's one of the shirts out there that I really wanted to feature here on "Five Shirts a Day". It's a must have for Geeks-on-the-Go!

Here's the specs from Think Geek:

  • Glowing animated shirt dynamically displays the current wi-fi signal strength.
  • Shows signal strength for 802.11b or 802.11g
  • Black 100% Cotton T-Shirt
  • Animated Decal is Removable (with hook and loop fasteners) for Easy Washing
  • Battery Pack is Concealed in a Small Pocket Sewn Inside the Shirt
  • Runs for hours off three AAA Batteries (not included)
The shirt retails for $29.99 (it's a great deal for an electronic shirt). Check it out today, along with product action shots over at Think Geek!

Thrift Chic from Insan Art

(featured at left is my new "Thrift Store Chic" design on the melange red Junior's Ringer T
-
available from the Insan Art Store @ Spreadshirt)

One of my original designs (from Insan Art - www.insanart.com), "Thrift Store Chic" is the first of two new thrift shopping related designs I've been working on. It is quite fitting for me, I was raised on used apparel and weekend trips to the Salvation Army thrift store (rather than the lame old mall).

Get my "Thrift Store Chic" design on a variety of Men's and Women's products at both the Insan Art Stores:

the Insan Art Store @ Spreadshirt
&
the Insan Art Store @ Cafepress

As usual, I recommend the Spreadshirt store since there is a better variety of product styles & colors. Enjoy!

Get "Dysentery" from Busted Tees

I thought this was so cute when I saw it - it really took me back to the days of geeky little kids
(one of whom was myself) huddled around the computer, hunting on the Oregon Trail!

The description from Busted Tees reads:
"You bought 1350 lbs of this shirt but you can only carry 200 back to the wagon."

Ha! (note, the ladies version comes in a nice purple...)

TreeLove from Insan Art

(Shown at left - TreeLove on the navy Women's Heather Jersey-T
available at the Insan Art Store @ Spreadshirt)

TreeLove is one of my original designs (from Insan Art - www.insanart.com). It was created as an environmental awareness design, with earth day in mind. You can read a little more about my intentions with the design on my website.

The design is currently available through:

If you're looking for a TreeLove shirt, I recommend Spreadshirt over Cafepress - they have a better selection. Each site offers a slightly different mix of products.

Welcome to Five Shirts a Week!

Hello and welcome to Five Shirts a Week, my new blog on which I'm committing to seeking out the latest and greatest, fun and original shirt designs available for your viewing and wearing pleasure!

My goal is to post at least five new shirt designs a week. When I post will vary depending on my eclectic work schedule, but I hope to keep things fairly consistent. (My week will be defined as beginning Monday and ending Sunday & I may post all 5 new designs at once in an instance where I may be unable to update throughout the week)

I also hope to pepper-in some of my own new shirt designs as they come available - I'll start with a few of my classics, and hopefully, this site might help me crank out more new shirt designs (on a more timely basis). There are a lot of ideas I need to sit down and design, so look forward to their debut...

Thanks & Enjoy! Please tell your friends about my new site and don't forget to subscribe to our feed to keep up with the latest at "Five Shirts a Week"
(I personally prefer iGoogle - add this site to your iGoogle Add to Google Reader or Homepage )

Know of a shirt that should be featured? Please leave me a comment with the link!
